- Orlando City are 7th in the MLS 2025 table with 30 points from 18 games, three fewer than 4th-placed FC Cincinnati, who have 33.
- Orlando City have won two, drawn one and lost one of the four MLS head-to-head meetings with FC Cincinnati.
- Orlando have won five, drawn two and lost two of their nine home MLS 2025 games, scoring an impressive 21 goals.
Cincinnati’s consistency could be key
FC Cincinnati have been more consistent than Orlando so far in 2025 and Pat Noonan’s side look the better bet to avoid defeat in Florida on Saturday.
Cincinnati’s away form in MLS 2025 reads – won five, drew one and lost four from 10, a record that is good enough to put them in the playoff positions.
But, perhaps more interestingly, Noonan’s team have conceded 15 goals in 10 matches, suggesting that they will be willing to play cautiously when out of sorts.
Noonan’s pragmatic style has been evolving since he took charge in December 2021 and his players have generally been solid, disciplined and made the most of the few chances they have created.
Cincinnati’s recent form has dipped with just one win in their last five, but two draws and two defeats is not disastrous when you are three points ahead of Orlando.
Kevin Denkey has been their leading scorer with 11 goals in 17 MLS matches and he has been in good form of late with four goals in his last five.
Evander Ferreira has chipped in with three assists in his last five games, developing into a playmaker for the club.
Cagey game likely
Orlando have been a little less consistent with two wins and three defeats in their five games.
Oscar Pareja has been in charge since December 2019 and he has a clear idea of what he wants his team to do on the field – take the initiative, get the game going and then manage the lead.
Martin Ojeda has been Orlando’s main goal threat all season with nine in 18 appearances and his creativity will be key in this contest.
But with so little to separate these teams in the table or on current form, we are looking at a very tight and tactical matchup where one goal could decide it.
The 2.08 favorite Orlando are just as likely to lose this as win it and we are taking Cincinnati to get a point at 3.25.
